Long-time Nike athlete and one of the greatest boxers of all-time Manny Pacquiao is ready to get sacked by the brand that represented him. The Filipino superstar, whose influence in his country goes beyond his accomplishments in the ring, made some anti-gay remarks recently, calling homosexuals “worse than animals”. Nike, a supporter of LGBT rights, has stayed mum regarding PacMan’s words, but TMZ reports that Nike is prepared to cut ties with the former greatest pound-for-pound fighter. Currently, there are no Pacquiao products on Nike.com. Manny has since issued an apology on his Instagram via three videos.
Update: Nike has officially cut ties with Manny Pacquiao.
