If you were a skateboarder in the late 90’s, you know exactly what every skate shoe was like: big and puffy. Vans even got in on the blown-out skate shoes, departing from their classic thin uppers and vulcanized waffle soles for the over-padded designs of the era. Their most famous shoe from this era was the Knu Skool, released in 1998 as a modern update to the traditional Old Skool silhouette. Now Vans Japan, seeing the possibility of some new love for the shoe, have brought the Knu Skool back, complete with the exact constructions details of the original including a mesh and suede upper, oversized 3D side stripes, and a cup sole. Unfortunately for all those feeling nostalgic for the Knu Skool, they will be available only from Vans Japan, so acquiring a pair will take a little more work.
