When Tinker Hatfield started brainstorming a sneaker with a visible air unit, even he didn’t know that what would become the Air Max series would be one of the most iconic lines in sneaker history. The Nike Air Max Zero wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for Tinker’s brainstorming sessions back in 1986, as the famed designer revisited an early sketch last year to release a limited run of the model during Air Max Day. You might remember that the OG illustration featured a completely different colorway though, as a vibrant yellow and black allowed for white overlays to keep things clean. Now it looks like that Air Max 0 could finally be making its way to store shelves in the near future, as an actual on-feet shot popped up. The last time we saw this colorway was on the Nike SNKRS app, but the slip-on upper paired with fuse overlays and a slimmed down Air Max construction looks even better here. Check out a full view below and we’ll keep you updated on a potential release date in the near future.
