“Nike Air” On Spike Lee’s New Jordan Shoe Makes Complete Sense

Jordan Spike 40 White Fire Red Black

We’ll be first to say that Spike Lee’s new Jordan shoe, the Jordan Air Spike 40, is not a good shoe. We’re not quite sure what the design aesthetic is supposed to reflect, but at least the details on the sneaker are noteworthy, right? Along with one of the gaudiest lacelocks ever created, Jordan Brand has opted to put the coveted Nike Air logo on the heel, a detail that has been confirmed for the upcoming Air Jordan 6 “Maroon” and Air Jordan 4 “White/Cement”. So why on this sneaker? Think about it: the OG branding is best remembered on the Air Jordan 3 through the Air Jordan 6, which just so happens to be Spike Lee’s reign of influence. Still, the nostalgic logo doesn’t do much for this sneaker that is shockingly priced at $180. Here they are, folks.
