Chris Paul is a beast on the court and he’ll go down as one of the most ferocious guards to ever play the game. In addition to his basketball resume, he’s wildly popular on social media and plays for one of the biggest markets in the NBA. However, that hasn’t transferred into the levels of LeBron/KD/Kobe success of the Jordan CP3 line, which despite its high quality performance aspects, has never really cracked into sneakerhead rotations. Recently a “green suede” version of the upcoming Jordan CP3.9 was revealed and for once, people were excited about an upcoming release of his shoe. However, that version was made for 33 friends and family of the brand and employees themselves, leaving the typical colorways to be left for consumers to select from once the shoe drops in October. The CP3 shoe will continue to be a basketball shoe for adults and kids, but this green-suede pair is a clear sign that the CP3 logo has a place in the lifestyle scene. Should Jordan Brand release EXT-esque versions of the CP3 and perhaps the Melo shoe, or is that Russell Westbrook’s space?
