Reebok recently launched the Pumpspective Omni update, and now the next step in pivoting off the Pump Omni Lite heritage is revealed here today. The Reebok AO Pump Omni Run combines the familiar silhouette from Dee Brown’s ’91 Dunk Contest win, updates it with new materials, and in doing so, transforms the shoe into a hybrid with running influences. Along with the minimized upper, there’s an external heel counter and an entirely new sole kit, all of which combines to create a design that makes you wonder why we don’t see more midtop runners outside of the trail niche. The AO Pump Omni Run will be an interesting choice when it debuts next year and you can see some more photos below in the meantime.
