Vans released a couple of ‘C&L’ Eras at the top of the year, that acronym that describing the use of canvas uppers with leather accents. In the case of these new Vans Era 59s, the ‘L&H’ tag is somewhat less obvious, with the latter also corresponding to a textile. With the front done in a black leather, the rear takes on a woolen material, and the key to fitting that in with the L&H formula is realizing it’s woven into a herringbone pattern. The subtle interplay between these two materials is what gives this release a special feel, and you’ll find them available now at retailers like Politics.
