After a few teaser previews whetted the appetites of Reebok-hungry fans, we’re finally getting a first detailed look at the Reebok Kamikaze II designed by Packer Shoes. Inspired by the 1996 NBA All-Star Game and the snazzy jerseys worn by the game’s best, the Packer Shoes x Reebok Kamikaze II captures all the bright, festive colors of teal, pink, and orange and combines it with a multi-toned grey upper – a stark contrast to the actual All-Star versions that Shawn Kemp wore in that famous game. Adding to the theme of the All-Star Game in San Antonio is the chili pepper detailing on the Reebok vector logo and the insoles of the shoes – a fitting choice of detail considering these Reeboks are definitely “heaters”.
Along with the shoes, Packer Shoes has a collaborative capsule of Mitchell & Ness gear – a caricature t-shirt, a 1996 All-Star Hardwood Classics snapback, and an authentic jersey. In an already crowded year filled with Reebok partnerships, Packer Shoes easily rises to top and may be remembered as the best Reebok release of the year. The Packer Shoes x Reebok Kamikaze II “Remember The Alamo” and the entire collection of apparel will release on Friday, August 2nd (in-store and online) exclusively at Packer Shoes, so enjoy the detailed gallery below.
