Tyler Eklund’s life changed forever in 2007 when the fourteen year old snowboarder was paralyzed from a fall at the USASA Nationals. The snowboarding community responded to support the uninsured teen with proceeds from the now annual Dirksen Derby, an event that kicked off around the same time as this Nike SB Dunk High was apparently created. The wild mix of materials and colors has Ecklund’s name stitched into the tongue tag, which provides clarity on this supposed ‘What the Dunk’ High that appeared at the Nike SB 10th anniversary event last November at Sixth and Mill.
