The Air Jordan XII Low was first introduced in 2004 when the XII experienced a wide distribution for the first time since the original ’97 run. The low-top XII was surprisingly popular because the shoe, quite frankly, is at quick glance tough to distinguish from the Mid version! Nothing major is changed in order to keep the XII a true low-top, with the exception of the subtraction of one metallic eyelet at the upper. The Obsidian colorway was especially popular considering it is derived rather accurately from the OG Obsidian – a shoe that only recently went through a Retro production.
