The brand whose classic basketball styles were at one point in 1970s New York bigger than Converse or Nike has made a strong comeback this year as PRO-Keds continues its ‘Throwback Pack’ efforts with a new rendition from a well-known Brooklyn-based sneakerhead. The PRO-Keds Royal Master ‘Brooklyn’ was designed by BK’s DJ Clark Kent, a Dodgers nod with flowy script on the heels to match their classic blue suede uppers. Just 42 pairs have been produced as a homage to Jackie Robinson, who wore ’42’ during his career, and will be a Friends & Family release only – meaning, if you’re not one of the 42 on Clark’s list, you’re outta luck!
