To call the early-90’s era of basketball shoes “bulky” would be a bit unfair. Similarly to how the larger-than-life folks like to be referred to as “big-boned”, these vintage-style sneakers would be better described as “substantial”, but that’s just the way kicks were built back then. Tough, durable leathers, stocky, made-for-terrain midsoles, high-cut ankle wraps – early 90’s Nikes are like the anti-Hyperfuse. So with the Air Force 180 Low’s bigger and more daunting older brother making an “admirable” return later this year, just how well would it fit in with the slimmed-down crowd? We’re certain that extra elbow room will be made for these fellas because although they will be produced in the revised non-Pump version, the Air Force 180 High is indeed one of the greatest ever (and perhaps one of the sickest midsoles you’ll ever plant your feet on). More of the upcoming OG-inspired White/Teal colorway below, so check ’em out and let us know if you plan on adding these to your Retro stash.
