In 2006, Jordan Brand pair a worthy and impressive tribute to Spike Lee by giving him his own signature sneaker called the Jordan Spiz’ike – a hybrid of all the Air Jordans the Spike’s alter ego of Mars Blackmon chipped in for during their original debuts. We also remember the ‘Mar’s Jordan IV, which featured the OG White/Red/Black colorway with the Mars Blackmon logo on the heel, but Jordan Brand, for this year’s 23rd Anniversary, decided to bring it back sans-Mars (although the spirit of Blackmon will never be forgotten). Today we bring you a first detailed look at this upcoming release (currently slated for August), which should be the perfect OG-Air Jordan hit of the summer – much like last year’s True Blue III was. Is it Fire Red, or Varsity Red? We’ll find out the true color selection as more information pops up, but these will be a major hit either way. A detailed viewing awaits you below, so jump ahead and let us know what you think. Photos: marqueesole
