We’re always happy to cue you in on some of the under-appreciated lines of retro runners, a realm that Saucony is doing a bang up job breaking out of between their collabo collections and inline styles. The latest to come from the Saucony team is this colorway of the Grid 9000 that first popped up in our preview from late 2011, which wraps a deep navy suede around the base of the upper that eventually breaks into some silvery grey tones towards the top. The speckled midsole on the back-end even has some of that ‘cement’ appeal, nailing the flecked look without it coming off as a mere emulation.
