Just about one month ago, Sneaker News showed you what to expect from Nike SB next summer, everything from the Q2 footwear to apparel and accessories. Key among those revelations was the first look at a vulcanized take on Paul Rodriguez’ fifth Swoosh skateboarding signature, a model whose name becomes fairly self explanatory once you see what’s on the inside. The Nike SB P-Rod V LR emphasizes in its name the LunarLon cushioning that’s common to the cupsole version, except this time it’s a Lunar foam insole that rests inside the autoclaved bottoms. The visual impact is slightly less striking than with the P-Rod 2.5s because the 5s’ uppers are so simple, but the unprecedented combination of vulc sole and LunarLon footbed is sure to draw attention from skaters looking for that perfect combination of feel and protection. Check out a steely blue colorway after the jump and let us know if you’d like to see Blazers, Bruins and the other vulcanized Nike SB sneakers updated with a LunarLon insert. via N-SB
