With kids headed back to school in about a month, it’s a great time to give them a history lesson with the shoe that sparked a revolution. The Air Jordan 1 Retro High will release in six new colorways this August, and while there remain a few purists who decry the use of the ‘AJ1 as Dunk’, there’s little even the most persuasive skeptic could say to knock this sextet. Jordan Brand colorblocked these identically, each pair adding a single accent shade to a white base. They’re all in leather for that classic look, yet the observant will feel some sense of novelty as well because these are brand new blocking patterns, and not in fact a reproduction of the original multicolor-on-white run of Air Jordan 1s.
