Arriving this July is the original colorway of the Air Jordan XI IE Low, but with a minor alteration on the bottom end of the shoe. The original version featured a translucent sole, but the 2011 Retro, slated to release in mid-July, featured a translucent grey ‘smoke’ hue. While a purist would prefer the original colors and materials, some of our readers have voiced a preference of the black soles over the translucent ‘ice’ ones due to the fact that black sole won’t yellow! Yellowing has been one quality issue with the Air Jordan XI and translucent outsoles (a rim of yellow around the blue traction pods on the Space Jams), but with these, that worry has been eliminated. We’ve got new detailed images for you below so take a look and let us know if these are on your list for back-to-school shopping! via air-randy.
