Clothing lines who venture into sneaker peddling usually stick to simple shoes built with clean lines. These sleek shoes are often the byproduct of the producing label having less access to cutting-edge technologies like the larger athletic brands. By keeping the shoes simple, they also retain a sense of elegance.
This seems to be exactly what french brand Hermès has done here with their new metallic hightops. They have a shiny silver upper with tonal stitching atop a white sole. The tan lining gives a hint of color (you see yellow when contrasted against the grey and white). Where Hermès succeeds is in the materials: rare materials including crocodile and snakeskin justify the nearly $1k US retail price. These are available at all Hermès locations, including their store at The Galleria in Hong Kong. Via HB.
