Near the start of the 2010-11 NBA Season Reebok introduced a YourReebok Design Contest in which participants can design a pair of the Reebok Zig Slash for John Wall to wear during the 2011 NBA All-Star Weekend. The Reebok Zig Slash is the first Reebok Zig basketball shoe of its kind and after John Wall, the number-one overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft, was signed to the brand, Reebok quickly pushed forward an aggressive marketing strategy to thrust Reebok Zig Technology and the Zig Slash into the competitive basketball market dominated by Nike. After countless submissions, the Reebok Zig Slash Design contest has been narrowed down to ten finalists, which are detailed below. Each of the finalists will receive a free pair of their own design, while the grand prize winner will earn a trip out to the All-Star festivities to see Wall wear the winning design.
