Jordan Brand looks to revive the “Bloodline” series with this upcoming Air Jordan 12 Retro release next year. Originally believed to be a re-issue of the original “Flu Game” colorway, sneaker insiders are now revealing that the anticipated Air Jordan 12 is in fact another variation of the iconic Black/Varsity Red that falls in line with the 2019-born series. If you haven’t caught on yet, the Jordan 12 “Flu Game” release is not happening, and we’re getting another pair in lieu.
Five years ago in 2019, Jordan Brand introduced the Air Jordan 1 “Bloodline”, a new spin on the classic black, red, and white. The design concept was communicated via a red piping that ran alongside the edges of the black tumbled leather overlay, while a white leather sat at its base. Truly an attractive dish on paper, but truthfully the Bloodline Jordan 1s ended up sitting on shelves for a bit, even hitting markdowns.
The Air Jordan 12 “Bloodline” is expected to follow suit in some sort of way; these mock-ups pictured above and below, provided by @zsneakerheadz, reveals a potential outcome of this January 2025 release, although for now it’s best to wait for first look images to arrive before you form an opinion.
Again, Flu Game Jordan 12s are not happening, and instead we’re receiving the Air Jordan 12 “Bloodline” in its place. Stay tuned for details, and sweep through our Jordan Release Dates 2024 for the latest updates.
