The Harden Vol 8 tipped its hand early in its initial promo photos, revealing not one, not two, but all six of the first colorways on tap for the Clipper star’s signature. With the Harden Vol. 8 “Sculpt” in the rear view, and the release of the Harden Vol. 8 “Pioneer” just days away, we’re getting an early official look at the next step in “Luxury Green.”
Staying on that initial announcement, it was immediately apparent that the strategy for the newest adidas Basketball model was two-pronged. On one (literal) hand, Harden presented a three-pack of bright neon arrangements, and on the other, three black-dominated pairs where the only hits of color rested on the medial EVA cage.
The latter category is where this “Luxury Green” pair fits in, the rest of the shoe outside of that side technology draped in “Core Black.” Formally, the shoes are just as they were in the past two releases, with a leather toebox breaking up an otherwise fully textile upper.
Should the trend established by the “Sculpt” hold, selling out very shortly after release, the “Luxury Green” are set to be similarly hotly contested. They’ll drop via adidas.com and the Confirmed app on March 15th, commanding a retail price of $160.
Elsewhere out of Germany, the Bob Marley adidas SL72 looms as one of their biggest collaborations of the year.
