The adidas DON Issue 6, Donovan Mitchell’s sixth signature shoe with adidas, was officially unveiled in Indianapolis at a private event during All-Star Weekend. Debuting alongside Damian Lillard’s adidas Dame 9, the DON 6 is primed for its first in-game appearance during the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, February 18th as Mitchell was voted as a starter for the Eastern Conference.
Juxtaposed with Anthony Edwards’ AE1 and Lillard’s Dame 9, the D.O.N. Issue 6 communicated a clear design language that relies on a inner boot/outer shell approach. While the AE1 features a warped honeycombed cage and the Dame 9 has a solid TPU exterion the DON Issue 6 utilizes a mesh-built cage that gently reveals the three stripes logo beneath. Spida’s emblem appears at the pull-tab on the tongue, while DON is heat-pressed onto the loop at the heel.
