The 90s Called And They Want The ASICS GEL-LYTE V “Teal” Back

Despite being reserved for packs and collections throughout 2023, the GEL-LYTE V served as an integral piece of the Japan-based brand’s activations this calendar year. Come 2024, the lightweight performance running series will be embarking upon a bright teal-tinted effort beholden to no one but itself.

Echoing the vibrant outfits of the late 90s and early 2000s that saw the low-top trim assert its dominance, the model bears a close resemblance to the striking Dart Jazz paper cup. Dipped in the titular spring-ready hue, the model’s base layer shines in turquoise appeal with off-white tinted suede overlays mixing with bright white laces and leather inner linings. Elsewhere, the monochrome backdrop fills the Tiger stripe mid-foot logo, the heel counter and its accompanying branding in jet-black contrasts.

The ASICS GEL-LYTE V “Teal/White/Black” is expected to release in early 2024. In the meantime, the pair can be seen in detailed imagery ahead.

In other news, the Kobe 4 “Black Mamba” releases on December 27th.
