Nike’s “Year of the Dragon” collection for 2024 is ramping up to be one of the biggest yet.
Over the past few months, several styles from Nike Sportswear, Nike Running, Nike Basketball, and the Air Jordan line have surfaced with nods to the changing of the Zodiacal calendar. The most recent offering under the festive banner arrives in the form of a Nike Dunk Low Remastered, an experimental update on Peter Moore’s basketball silhouette from 1985. Like other “Year of the Dragon” sneakers to surface in last few months, the latest style features shades of white, grey, red, and green. The Remastered-variant is inherently bold, but its commemorative makeover further enables the design to stand out. A scale-like texture is added to profile swooshes, which also boast collection-specific labels on the lateral side. Festive “Just Do It” tags appear on the exposed foam tongue, providing rich red flair in line with popular symbology for the Chinese New Year. Logos printed on the sockliners are updated for the occasion as well, helping create a playful Nike Dunk Low.
Underfoot, the update to an icon keeps things straightforward. The reworked midsole and traction setup opts for a white and cream color combination that allows for the upper to revel in the spotlight.
Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, as you wait for firm Nike SNKRS release details. The Dunk Low Remastered should retail for $120 USD.
In related sneaker news, the Kobe Reverse Grinch is set to release for Adults and Kids on Friday, December 15th.
