Introduced on Air Max Day as the brand’s newest addition to its Air-infused family of footwear, the Nike Air Max Pulse has sprouted up throughout spring in a myriad of introductory neutral-based offerings. Just a few months into its lifecycle, the split ensemble will soon enjoy the hand of collaborators and premium constructions like LA-based club promoter Zack Bia who recently teased his upcoming take on the 270-degree cushioned silhouette.
Inspired by the monochrome shades that coat the jog wheels and pitch fades of a CDJ, a pitch-dark aesthetic consumes the pair as jet-black hues envelop the entirety of the model’s base layer. Boasting an added ripstop nylon shroud and supple nubuck mudguard, vibrant red detailing illuminates the resized miniature Swooshes and interior eye stays while further motifs nodding to a DJ’s setup come cured in a silver finish along the CH 1 and CH 2 heel tabs, pause/play buttons at the midsole and reimagined AM logo at the tongue. Curtailed by Bia’s record label logo “FTR” – “Field Trip Records” – coming embroidered into the foxing and his initials being embossed into the zippers, the musically inclined composition comes packaged like a DJ coffin for the conclusion to an ostensibly detailed team up.
While no release details have been shared just yet, in the meantime enjoy a detailed look at the upcoming Zack Bia x Nike Air Max Pulse “CDJ” below.
For more in the collaborative realm, the Jarritos x Nike SB Dunk Low is scheduled to release on this coming Saturday, May 6th.
