The Nike Dunk Low Disrupt 2 recently emerged in a vibrant “Jade Ice” and “Total Orange” color scheme perfect for the impending summer.
As a women’s-exclusive take on Peter Moore’s basketball sneaker from 1985, the silhouette features a fashion-forward approach. The pair’s shape is familiar, but the panels and other components across the upper and sole unit reimagine the Nike Dunk‘s 38-year-old blueprint. Canvas overlays around the toe, along the tongue, and across the heel introduce an animated mint hue, while leather base layers opt for a “colorless” finish. The non-standard swooshes on the sidewalls favor citrus flair, injecting a “deconstructed” aesthetic into the shoe along the way.
Staying true to its name, the Dunk Low Disrupt 2 indulges in a number of seemingly random design cues at and around the tongue. Multi-colored laces also deliver a touch of experimentation to the pull tab-donning silhouette. The sole unit keeps things simple for its cushioning, but the outsole deviates in a semi-translucent gradient; yellow, orange, and green colors round out the women’s Nike Dunk Low.
No firm nike.com launch has been announced, but the pair is likely to land throughout summer. In the meantime, enjoy official photos of the shoes ahead.
