Throughout Jayson Tatum’s entire life, one constant has presided, the overwhelming impact and support from his mother, Brandy. From Chaminade to Durham and now Boston, Tatum’s mother can be seen cheering on her son from the stands with a joyous smile draped across her face. In celebration of International Women’s Day this past Wednesday, Tatum took the court in a Player Exclusive rendition of his Jordan JT 1 in homage to his mother’s tutelage and guidance.
Inspired by the hues and structure of Brand’s favorite flower – a calla lily – Tatum’s first signature silhouette with Jumpman mirrors the recently unveiled “Blueprint” proposition with a textured graphic stretching across the entirety of the crisp white upper while black detail outlines the floral assemblage. Immediately contrasted via the jet-black shade cast across the tongue construction, TPU midsole plate and suede overlays, a titular collection of neons grace the tongue’s logos, the heel’s Jumpman insignia and the mesh mid-foot window for a carefully comprised accent. Underfoot, the exaggerated sole unit concludes in a finishing wash of monochrome, as underlying pitch-dark shades compliment the clad white midsole and tread in conclusion.
Expected to be rendered as a Player Exclusive, enjoy official images of the Jordan JT 1 “Mommas Boy” PE while we await the silhouette’s debut this summer.
