The past handful of years have been good to women obsessed with sneakers as companies like NIKE, Inc. have dedicated more time and energy to exclusive releases for them. The latest – the Air Jordan 5 “Mars for Her” – finally launches on Jan. 14 after initial rumors propped up in June 2022.

Prepped under the idea of hooping on another planet, the latest take on Tinker Hatfield’s third design for the Air Jordan line features an eye-catching “Martian Sunrise” color scheme throughout its entire upper. Suede material injects a style-oriented approach into the sneaker, while off white touches to the mesh profile windows, lace toggles, and traction zones underfoot play into the “Neo-vintage” trend that’s overtaken footwear over the last two years. Jumpman logos land on the spine, while “23” figures appear on the lateral heel. Lastly, the midsole opts for a predominantly “Black” finish that allows not only for the upper to revel in the spotlight, but also the shark teeth-reminiscent accents at the sides.
