As the Nike Air Force 1 continues to celebrate its 40th anniversary, the silhouette keeps experimenting with color palettes, materials and collaborators. Recently, Bruce Kilgore’s iconic design emerged in a mix of materials and patterns that further expand its roster of outfits.
Despite donning an unassuming black tone across the majority of its upper, the newly-surfaced pair makes a statement via its disparate components. Quilted textile appears throughout the forefoot, mid-foot and heel boasting honeycomb and grid-like patterns; stitching between each panel takes on a different primary color for a touch of flair. Profile swooshes, overlays along the tongue, the tongue and upper heel area all deviate from their rather understated surroundings with multi-colored swaths introducing satin, checkerboard and other materials and patterns into the mix. Lace dubraes take on a metallic gold finish that delivers a touch of luxury to Kilgore’s design. Underfoot, the Air Force 1 Low keeps things simple in off-white, allowing for the top-half to revel in the spotlight.
No firm Nike.com release details have been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change soon. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.
