Hebru Brantley has been bringing his multi-faceted beliefs to the city of Chicago and homes of figures the likes of LeBron James for years now. In recent history, the Illinois-native has worked with adidas Originals to further disseminate his AfriCOBRA movement-inspired art to the masses.
On July 14th, Brantley and the Three Stripes will bring Frogboy and Rocket characters to life via the adidas Forum. The upcoming collaboration sees the previous partners exchange traditional adidas logos on the tongue with the aforementioned figures, with the mid-top donning Frogboy. A high-quality mix of leather and suede land across Brantley’s next footwear project, with “Core Black” and “Light Blue” playing titular roles across both trims. Toggle systems bring a functional update to the forthcoming project, while maintaining the sneakers’ 1980s basketball heritage intact.
Enjoy official images of the pairs ahead, and find the shoes available via the adidas CONFIRMED app on Thursday, July 14th.
