This 80’s icon, regularly inserted in and out of the brand’s product line, is ready for an injection of cool in the form of a super-minimal, super-simplistic collaboration with JJJJound.
The Reebok NPC — aka the Newport Classic — was a mainstay of the 80s tennis scene. Reebok championed the minimalistic demands of the sport in that pivotal decade long before neons were the norm, so who better than JJJJound to subtly reintroduce it to the fashion-focused than the brand that has managed to stand out with the tiniest of changes? This upcoming sample of the NPC II reveals all that we adore about the silhouette; terry interiors, white leather uppers, and nylon tongues. JJJJound adds a tan/cream to the interior, gilded branding on the leather upper, and off-white soles to achieve that quintessential tennis look. These are a must for the ever-growing demographic of mood-board masters.
A release date has not been shared yet, but we can surely expected a release on JJJJound and later on Reebok.com later this Fall season.
The Montreal-born brand is definitely keeping itself busy this year: have you seen the JJJJound ASICS Kayano 14?
