Inspired by the booming volume of the outdoor music festival of the late 1960s, Charles Schulz introduced Woodstock, the yellow singing bird and long-time fluttering sidekick of Snoopy. While Schulz introduced the new character before the revolutionary music event, he officially christened it with the Woodstock name afterwards, creating one of the most memorable comic strip characters in American history.
Woodstock now graces this upcoming Converse Chuck 70 release as part of a larger Peanuts x Converse footwear collection that will debut later this month. Far from subtle, the little creature adorns the high-top classic via a Where’s Waldo style all-over-print (can you spot the real Woodstock?). Charlie Brown’s trademark zig-zag mark appears on the outsole as well as the insole, while PEANUTS is embroidered on the tongue.
The Peanuts x Converse Chuck 70 “Woodstock” is currently expected to release on May 24th; see the official images ahead and stay tuned for a release.
