1,164 days in the making, TEDxPortland‘s 10th year — which has been rescheduled a total of three times — is finally happening. Come May 28th, the doors of the Moda Center and Theater will greet a drove of attendees, who will enjoy not only a series of TED Talks but also numerous performances, from Death Cab for Cutie to a Jimi Hendrix tribute by Tyrone Hendrix.
Nike, though, may as well headline the occasion, as they’re commemorating Year 10 with a collaborative Air Force 1. And much like the event itself, it seems the the shoes, too, took 1,164 to come to life, as the number is written across the medial heel in bold font. Opposite, “IDEAS WORTH SPREADING” is debossed into the lateral side, its coloring near invisible atop the upper’s white leather construction. The branding is also given a slight makeover: the Swoosh is treated to an iridescent finish, the number “10” is emblemized on the heel tab, and “TEDxPortland” replaces Nike Air on the tongue. Additionally, “AIR” is highlighted in red across the midsole and “AUDACIOUS,” the theme for 2022, is printed onto the insole.

In other news, we recently took a look at almost every TEDxPortland Nike Sneaker.
