adidas Y-3 Combats Urban Rainfall With The GR.1P GTX

adidas Y-3 Combats Urban Rainfall With The GR.1P GTX

For Spring/Summer ’21, adidas Y-3 has combined their signature utility with “sleek minimalism,” creating what they dub the GR.1P GTX.

Inspired by this idea of “cover,” the silhouette is soon to arrive in both a low-top and high-top form, each built to handle heavy rainfall. And though already different in height, the two set themselves even further apart via their colorways. The High, which is the more universal option of the two, dresses fully in triple black. The mesh collar, leather side profile, and stacked tooling all blend into one another more or less with texture their only defining traits. In stark departure, the low adds further contrast to the tooling, coating it near fully in white, while the upper sits on the opposite end of the tonal spectrum.

For a closer look at both pairs, see the images below. A release is due to land on March 11th at adidas.com and select retailers.

In other news, the BAPE New Balance 2002R was revealed earlier this week.
