Nina Chanel Abney Would Approve Of This Air Jordan 4 RM

Nina Chanel Abney‘s Air Jordan 3 collaboration landed just over one year ago. Widely celebrated for its riveting design and playful reinterpretation of the Nike Air logo on the heel, the Illinois-born, NYC based artist delivered such a strong impression with her design that its lasting effects are felt long after the release.

Case in point, this upcoming women’s exclusive release of the Air Jordan 4 RM. Unlike Nigel Sylvester’s Driveaway Green execution that saw the forest-y shade cover the entire upper, this edition takes on the classic two-toned approach by offsetting the hue with a light creamy touch of Sail. Further contrast is seen via the use of both leather, suede, and canvas on the upper to create that lasting lifestyle aesthetic. Beneath it all is a darker muslin-like flooding of the sole to complete the look, and it’s just a touch of orange short for being a truly strong (yet unofficial) homage to Nina’s Air Jordan 3.

Again, this is a women’s only drop and will be available at Jordan retailers later this Fall for $155.
