Word to my mother.

Deadass, This Air Jordan 1 Brooklyn Low “Workboot” Is The Ultimate New York Shoe

Obviously, Jordan Brand had New York City in mind when they created the Air Jordan 1 Brooklyn, a modified take on the original ’85 model to appear like a platformed creeper boot. Naming it the “Brooklyn” made their intentions clear; this new “Workboot” colorway leaves little to no doubt.

The women’s lifestyle sneaker has just appeared in the quintessential New York City boot colorway, taking inspiration from Timberland’s iconic 6″ Boot and transferring the iconic colorway. The entire upper is colored in with wheat brown, with actual workboot style shoe laces and dark contrast stitching injecting that utilitarian aesthetic. The only glaring differences is that Jordan Brand has opted for leather, with the thickened sole and its sidewall traction matching in hue. Should the Jumpman have gone with a solid gum-like bottom like what we see with the boots?

This Air Jordan 1 Brooklyn Low “Workboot” has mid-late Fall written all over it, so stay tuned for its arrival on Nike.com and partnering Jordan retailers. More updates to come on our Jordan Release Dates page.
