Aurora Borealis is one of the true wonders of the natural world, a “see it before you die” type of attraction that’s been fascinating human beings throughout time. Can the same be said for the Nike Shox R4? Decidedly not, but the model is still deserving of its flowers all the same, carving out a real foothold in the lifestyle space in the few years since Beaverton brought it back to shelves. The two are unexpectedly joining hands on the latest colorway to trickle out of Beaverton, sporting reflective multicolor hits on the Nike Shox R4 base.
As you can spot in the image up top, the shoe’s central design choice becomes undeniable under direct light, spinning a bright kaleidoscope of blue, green, yellow, and purple. While a bit less dazzling, that iridescence is still visible at rest, plastered across the parallel quarter panel overlays and the wavy side stripes that sit just above. Dotted jet black taking up the rest of the real estate allows those sections to shine all the more, with the dusky tonality additionally spread onto the laces and piston propulsion under the heel.
As an earnest GR, expect the Nike Shox R4 to populate Nike.com and local retailers without much forewarning, arriving sometime in the coming weeks. A slight premium on the $160 may accompany these special edition touches. We’ll keep you informed with the latest via this page and our Sneaker Release Dates hub.
Elsewhere in the Beaverton canon, the Nike Ja 3 begins its rollout with a set of “World Tour” colorways.
