Whether the Milwaukee Bucks trade or keep Giannis Antetokounmpo has felt like a “will they or won’t they” saga for a few off-seasons now, but for our purposes, the motto of the Greek Freak’s signature Nike Basketball line has stayed the same. Continuing to favor high-energy makeups that match the star forward’s court presence, Antetokounmpo’s upcoming Nike Giannis Freak 7 has been unveiled in an electrifying “Live Wire” colorway ahead of its debut later this month.
Four different shades of pink drench the silhouette (Pinksicle/Fireberry/Hyper Pink/Pink Foam), save only for a “Metallic Platinum” Swoosh border and “Volt” Giannis logos on the tongue. A full-length Cushlon 3.0 midsole supports Antetokounmpo’s demanding play style, packed into a wavy lower half featuring an elaborate series of ridges.
The Giannis Freak 7 was just one of three signature Nike Basketball models to get love during the brand’s recent SNKRS product preview, overshadowed by Ja Morant’s Nike Ja 3 and Sabrina Ionescu’s Sabrina 3 (both of which also launch in July).
This “Live Wire” colorway of the Giannis Freak 7 doesn’t have a concrete release date yet, but we’re expecting a Fall 2025 arrival. We’ll go live with another update as soon as we learn more.
