You’ve got to hand it to Beaverton — even if a model doesn’t entirely catch on in its first go-around, the brand is always willing to tinker and recontextualize. The mind jumps to splashy applications like the upcoming bring-back of the Total 90 Shox Magia, understated when it was first introduced, but a bullseye for modern trends. On a far more subterranean level, muted response to the Jordan Nu Retro 1 didn’t stop exploration of a new Golf life, now checking off traditional, cleaned-up aesthetics.

Delivering both the “Triple White” aesthetic that’s unavoidable in the Jumpman catalog and the identical white-on-white formula you’ll spot plenty in golf footwear, the layered panels of the Nu all wear the same icy shade. It’s in the very edges of the design where things begin to break away, pairing “Coral” collars with identically shaded traction underfoot, matte towards the forefoot and translucent below the heel.
