It’s a compliment to their product in its own way, but despite adidas’ best efforts, it’s proven difficult to unseat the Samba with even the strongest of in-line pushes. The erstwhile soccer icon remains an inescapable sight on city streets; thus, it’s in the German giant’s best interests to feed that demand with as many color options as they can cook up.

As we reach the one-yard line on Fourth of July festivities, adidas unleashes a loose trio that strikes that patriotic chord. Brandishing the “default” combination of leather uppers and gum sole, the three shoes begin in undeniable fashion with red and blue uppers before swerving just a bit for a beige/off-white option to approximate flag coloring.
