2025 marks the 20th Anniversary of adidas Consortium, the exclusive network of retail fronts and incubator of the brand’s most memorable shop collabs in history. Throughout the last two decades, we’ve seen countless projects come to life across several of the brand’s key icons ranging from the classic of classics in the Superstar to its forward-thinking Futurecraft.
While we haven’t seen much from the Consortium channel as of late, adidas is not overlooking this major milestone and possibly signaling its revival with a retrospective exhibit. From June 27th through the 29th, Dover Street Market in Paris will house a special display of some of Consortium’s choicest collaborations, all curated by none other than Sarah Andelman. The co-founder of colette is credited for laying out the blueprint of the modern day retail store; it’s because of Andelman that shops now have skate t-shirts next to foreign zines next to vintage luxury handbags.
For this 20-piece exhibit, adidas has tapped Brooklyn artist Levi “Pitter Patter” Patters to display the footwear in his signature far out manner. Pitters burst onto the scene with his sneaker leg table he created with Pharrell’s actual Superstar sneakers from a 2002 shoot for Fader magazine; this table was on display as part of Joopiter’s “Just Phriends” auction even in Paris.
Again, this exhibit will be open from June 27th through the 29th at Dover Street Market Paris.
