We already made our feelings clear on the upcoming Nike Foamposite One “Deep Royal,” positing that Nike would’ve been better served leaving the 2024 retro of the “Royal” alone rather than additionally issuing this just-adjacent take. However, there’s no denying the appeal of the overall clean look. If it’s got purchase with you and you’ve got a little one in your life to kit out, pairs in smaller sizes have already started hitting the market.

The black throat of the shoe and dominant cerulean shades across the siding make the comparison to the OG undeniable, but the swap from glossy to matte finish on that same section marks its biggest divergence. Notably, “Deep Royal” also does exactly that, deepening the titular shade despite this shoe keeping the sole unit largely consistent with the 1997 icon.
