Matt Varga After looking to poised to at least approach the repeat championship they so dearly dreamed of, the 2025 NBA playoffs ended up a nightmare for the Boston Celtics. Thoroughly felled by the New York Knicks in the second round of the playoffs, the series loss was worsened by an Achilles injury to their north star in Jayson Tatum. While 2025-26 seems like a wash at this rate, down the perennial All-NBAer and making moves on the transaction wire that indicate a reset, there’s no denying that #0’s enduring status as a top 10 player means that the Celtics will be back in the mix as soon as he takes the court again.
During this interregnum, one of the many challenges will be how to approach the Jordan Tatum 4 without the usual chance to debut the silhouette on court.
