The Nike Air Max Muse Enters Its Leather Era

With a cadre of simpler debut colorways behind it and its first collaboration soon to be, the Nike Air Max Muse is now free to explore more far-flung builds, the case as it tips off leather construction in black.

In a bit of an ironic twist, we harken back to the initial announcement of the Nike Air Max Muse and particularly the SNKRS showcase that partially led off with the silhouette. In that, the brand emphasized the materiality of the shoe and its lack of stated reference to Air Max product of old, yet one of the more immediately noteworthy editions of the shoe does tie back to more traditional Visible Air product, sporting textured leather surrounding the chunky upper of the shoe. Nonetheless, the eye-catching aspects of the Muse are still highlights in this recontextualization, including the jeweled cage surrounding the Air bubble and the pod-like geometry that defines the silhouette.

The Nike Air Max Muse in leather will likely hit Nike.com and retailers come Fall 2025, clocking in with a $170 sticker price.
