Updated June 21st, 2025: The adidas Climacool Laced will launch exclusively at Solebox Paris on June 26th. A wider release date is expected later this year.
After debuting to much acclaim last year, the 3D-printed adidas Climacool is adding a new laced iteration to its portfolio.
In our conversations with adidas designers, the decision to create a laced version of the Climacool is all about adoptability. adidas knows that some consumers might prefer a traditional lacing system, be it for accessibility, style, or out of sheer familiarity. A small chunk of the 3D-printed material is removed and replaced by a lightweight synthetic tongue, complemented by cutouts on both sides for the eyelets. Other than that, it’s the same model that has consistently sold out since debuting in late 2024. An open, adaptable lattice structure offers breathability from all areas, including a rush of air under the foot with every step. The model leans on the same tenets as adidas Climacool footwear from the 2000s, only with some the most exhilarating and futuristic sneaker tech of the modern day.
The adidas Climacool Laced has already begun touching down at select EU retailers, but no firm global release date has been floated just yet. We’ll update this article and post from the @sneakernews X account as soon as that changes.
