AE1 cleats? Believe that.

adidas Is Releasing Anthony Edwards 1 Low Football Cleats In 2026

Expect more adidas Anthony Edwards 1 Low releases in 2026, but likely not in versions you had expected. While the Anthony Edwards 2 will be in circulation by then, the three stripes brand is expected to launch Ant-man’s debut signature shoe as a football cleat in Summer 2026, following a trend of signature basketball shoe models making the transition from the hardwood to the gridiron.

With it’s sharp, low-cut design the Anthony Edwards 1 Low is a natural choice to make the jump from basketball to American football. It’s got all the performance tools for the game’s top athletes that rely on quick foot-work and explosive hops; it’s just a matter of having the appropriate bottoms to deem then grass/turf ready. Below is just a speculative rendering of what the Anthony Edwards 1 Low Cleat could look like based on an existing White/Black colorway.

Due to the massive success of Anthony Edwards shoes, modifying the design for other sports is a shrewd choice to not only elongate the popularity of the shoe, but to build Edwards’ reach laterally across different sports. Ahead of the 2024-2025 season, he and fellow Minnesota star athlete Justin Jefferson reenacted an iconic photo of Kevin Garnett and Randy Moss that was originally taken in 2000.
