Legacy sequels can be a mixed bag, but the revitalized Ghostbusters franchise has seemingly threaded the needle between reverence for the originals and breathing new life into an established IP. While murmurs of a sixth chapter for the sci-fi classic have quieted, the merchandising machine is assuredly alive and well, as the Ghostbusters x Crocs Classic Clog well speaks to.

Rather than pulling imagery from the two modern films, it’s chiefly the original that’s in focus for this footwear collab. The earthy jumpers that the core four sported lend themselves to the upper of each shoe, including a grid arrangement and two straps around the collar.

There, you can spot two of the most impactful tweaks to the Classic Clog, as a velcro strap allows you to swap between ID tags of each of the four OG Busters on the left shoe, while the right includes a zipper closure in its place. A heavy dose of additional hardware comes as you work through the rest of the shoe: the Proton Pack lends its hardware to the midsole, caution tape overtakes a padded Sports Mode strap, and splotches of Ectoplasm creep over each toe.

The Ghostbuster x Crocs Classic Clog releases on August 19th via Crocs.com, clocking in at an $80 retail price.
