Throughout its existence, the Air Force 1 has worn the crown as king of street style. Through its many lifestyle-focused methods, Nike has proven that this fixture of the city has the potential for an elegant aesthetic as long as the materials and colors remain selective. This upcoming Air Force 1 champions that movement, positioning a smooth off-white cream tone with leather hits not often seen on the ’82 retro.

While brown leather is hardly new to the Air Force 1, Nike has chosen to inject an aged appeal by providing a slight burnished treatment to the darker shade. The heel-tab reveals an impression of a grid-like pattern, a possible nod to the chain-link fences that border streetball courts. Finally, a hand-crafted attitude via the exterior stitch on the tongue label completes the look.
