It isn’t just the New Balance Allerdale that’s capitalizing on a return to the walking shoe. The Jordan CMFT Era marked the Jumpman’s entry into that vertical earlier this year, already unleashing an initial set of kids and adult colorways. As we all become more familiar with the brand’s latest hybrid formulation, it’s dipping into well-established territory, penning the Jordan CMFT Era “Panda” set to hit shelves soon.
As with most of the other looks for this shoe to date, it strikes a delicate balance between maintaining the basketball heritage with on-trend material make-ups; see the AJ1 Swoosh as compared to the mesh foundation that helps these abut Y2K sensibilities. Though mash-up models don’t always strictly stick to the looks of their parent models, the Air Jordan 1 “Black/White” and Air Jordan 6 “Oreo” certainly help justify this particular shoe’s embrace of “Panda,” played out almost exactly the way Mike’s first signature does: white midsoles, white base layer, and black overlays over top.
Select colorways of the Jordan CMFT Era have already dropped, so this “Panda” edition shouldn’t be far off. Expect a $115 retail price upon arrival. Catch official images below and keep our Jordan Release Dates page in mind for direct links once this pair does drop.
