This Nike Dunk Low Wears “Red Panda” Heads For Fall 2025

The Dunk isn’t going away without a fight. Though the general public is likely at a point of full saturation with the silhouette, general release and special edition colorways alike continue to populate the newswire, but a growing collection is of a different category entirely. Spinning off the not-too-distant past of the silhouette at the start of the decade, a “Red Panda” Dunk Low has now surfaced, literally interpreting the nickname that brought the model to infamy.

For long-time readers, note that these are of course distinct from the “Red Panda” Dunks from 2023, instead acting as a variant of the black-and-white edition rather than being inspired by the raccoon-like critter. Crinkled leather is the defining material choice on this shoe, coating the overlays and bear-shaped hangtags for each shoe, sporting carved Swooshes at their center.

If you haven’t caught some of our recent coverage, this pair is pretty clearly of a piece with the recently revealed “Panda” Dunks that sport tongue tag allusions to the actual animal. Though famously the red panda is only a far-flung cousin of its “Giant” counterpart, we’re not grading this shoe on anatomical details; the theme is still understandable either way. What’s perhaps more interesting is that Nike is planning out a pack release centered around such a meta concept. Yet considering some of the other looks they’ve let loose on Peter Moore’s design, perhaps this is the only silhouette that’d be fit to explore such a thing.

Sample collector @donniebsoles provides the first shots of this shoe, tipping off a potential Fall 2025 release window. However, as these are only samples, don’t take this as complete confirmation until we hear official word. Either way, you can catch the full suite of advance images included below.
